Now that I'm further into my career, I am beginning to take more of a leadership role in facilitating collaboration with other teachers. I am often sought out to provide teacher training in the area of technology, and this year (2021) I was a particular help in assisting teachers transition to online learning because I was already teaching virtually.

I took initiative and created a shared document in the board Google Currents forum. This document was filled with shared slide decks adapted for virtual teaching and covered units in Math, Language, Science, and Religion/Family Life, many of which I designed and shared. I was proud that our Vice-Principals took notice and shared this document with all Virtual Grade 3 teachers, leading to increased collaboration and a lighter workload for all who were involved because of our commitment to sharing the load of unit and lesson design..
